Waiting for surgery!

I'm now officially on the list for surgery although I made them take note that I would NOT go in beforeXmas, I do not wish to spend Xmas in hospital most likely would be in the high dependency unit,I want to be with my family that's my decision and hope everyone understands the need to hold off till the new year. Pre assessment what a pain in the bum! I understand the need for making sure your fit for surgery,the process was terrible having to visit 5 different departments been asked so many questions and prodded & poked! The only good thing was they found a vein first first attempt (there's a first for everything). I also now have stronger pain relief and I seem to be sleeping better. Been out shopping with my mum today i managed to get most of what I needed then my leg started playing up so we decided to come home, I'm now laid up resting my leg on my hot water bottle. Thank you for reading, I've had so many lovely supportive messages from so many lovely people wanting to wish me well, I really do appreciate it. Merry christmas x
